  • Old fashion oats

  • Coconut oil

  • Honey (or maple syrup)

  • Pure Vanilla Extract

  • Salt

  • Almonds (your choice of nuts or dried fruit)

Recipe Notes:

  • Add ins - if you are just using one add (say sliced almonds) use 1 ½ cup. If using 2 add ins use 1 cup of each add in .

  • This recipe is completely customizable to what you like, add in almonds and raisins, or peanuts and dried cranberries.

  • You can substitute honey for pure maple syrup.

  • Let granola rest for at least 2 hours before breaking and storing. Ideally, let it sit out overnight for the best results.

  • When storing granola it is best to store it in a dark place. I use a darkened container for mine and store in my pantry for up to 2 weeks.

Tools Needed:

Recipe Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup coconut oil

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 3 cups old fashioned oats

  • 1 ½ -2 cups Sliced or chopped Almonds (or your choice of nuts)

    • If using 2 add in I would do 1 cup of each

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. In a medium sauce pan on medium heat melt ¾ cup coconut oil and ½ cup of honey.

  3. Once melted together remove from heat and add in ½ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 3 cups old fashioned oats, 2 cups of sliced almonds. Mix until well combined.

  4. Line a 9x13 sheet pan with parchment paper and transfer mixture onto pan and spread out evenly on the sheet pan.

  5. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Once the time is up pull the baking pan out and stir the granola on the pan.

  6. Once the granola on the pan has been turned, place it back in the oven for another 10-12 minutes.

  7. Let the granola rest on the baking pan for 2-4 hours (or overnight).

  8. Once completely cooled and dried for a couple of hours break granola and store in a dark air tight container for 2 weeks.

Storing Notes:

When storing your granola it is best to store in a dark place. I recommend using a darkened container if you have one. Granola will keep for up to 2 weeks in your pantry.
